At the E3 2021, numerous games were once again presented, and new scenes from already announced games were shown. Among others, there was material for games like Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042. MeinMMO shows you the 10 most popular trailers in the ranking.
Which trailers are we talking about exactly? The trailers were shown at various conferences, such as the Xbox Showcase, Ubisoft Forward, or the Nintendo Direct. Among them are many highly anticipated games, such as the sequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Elden Ring, or the new Avatar game from the Division developers.
How did we choose? We selected the 10 gameplay trailers on YouTube that were released during E3 2021 and have gathered the most views. The numbers are as of June 17th at 12:25.
Rank 10 – Evil Dead: The Game (1,111,088 Views)

What kind of game is this? This is a PvP and co-op shooter based on the horror classic Evil Dead. You take on the role of Ash Williams and other survivors and must extinguish the life lights of the undead and demons. Or you are the Kandarian Demon yourself and hunt other players.
Why is the trailer interesting: On the one hand, the original actor of Ash Williams, Bruce Campbell, takes on the role of the narrator and personally presents the game. On the other hand, the trailer does not skimp on brutality, blood, and splatter. The combination makes you look forward to the game and is well received by fans of the movies and the series.
The game was presented at the Summer Game Fest. Although the festival is not an official part of E3, it took place during the same period and therefore counts in perception and our ranking.

What is Halo Infinite? This is the latest installment in the legendary Halo series. Announced at E3 2018, Halo Infinite was postponed in 2020. The shooter was originally supposed to be released at the end of last year.
At E3 2021, the new release window was revealed, along with the announcement that the shooter will allow up to 120 FPS. Additionally, there was this trailer:
Why is the trailer interesting: Alongside some snippets from the game world of Halo Infinite, the trailer shows the Master Chief in the zero gravity of a destroyed spaceship. He navigates through the debris, passing dead comrades and enemies, seemingly in search of something specific.
He eventually finds his long-time companion AI Cortana, who appears to be suffering from “amnesia.” The trailer is emotionally charged for long-time fans and received accordingly well.
Rank 8 – S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chernobyl (1,495,759 Views)

What is Stalker 2? This is the sequel to the popular survival shooter series, which combines horror elements with an open world, survival, and action. As a Stalker, players explore the inhospitable world around the Ukrainian Chernobyl, where a nuclear power plant exploded in 1986.
During the game, you gather resources, fight against hostile survivors and other Stalkers, and also deal with supernatural phenomena. The latest trailer revealed the release date and also showed the first real gameplay.
Why is the trailer interesting: The atmosphere is very consistent and oppressive. Initially, you see a group of survivors huddled around a campfire. One of them tells fantastic stories of his experiences. These stories are then staged in gameplay form.
There you see both action-packed gunfights and the threatening game world. You also get a glimpse of dangerous, monster-like creatures lurking in the abandoned buildings. The scenes strongly resemble the popular Metro series.

What is A Pirate’s Life? This is a crossover between the pirate multiplayer game Sea of Thieves and the well-known Disney franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean.
You encounter the famous CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, face threats familiar from the films such as the infamous Davy Jones, and experience new adventures. The crossover starts on June 22, along with Season 3. We have summarized the contents of the most obvious crossover for you.

Why is the trailer interesting: The scenes are bursting with fan service. Every “Pirates of the Caribbean” fan will have noticed the many details and references to the films.
Starting with the scene where players find CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow in a jail cell. He is just trying to lure the dog, which carries the key, with a bone.
In the background, the bombastic soundtrack familiar from the films thunders. The scenes are consistent and entertaining.

What is Elden Ring? This is the latest game from the Dark Souls developers. Elden Ring will be an action RPG and strongly reminiscent of previous FromSoftware games, which established the “Soulslike” genre with Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne.
Elden Ring will thus again be a punishing action RPG with multiplayer. New this time is the gigantic open world that takes you to the Lands Between. There await six different areas for you to explore, as well as numerous dungeons in the form of castles, caves, and catacombs.
Why is the trailer interesting: After the first announcement at E3 2019, things went very quiet regarding Elden Ring. Fans desperately waited for new information, but FromSoftware remained tight-lipped. Now they delivered with the gameplay trailer exactly what fans hoped for.

What is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? This is a first-person action-adventure set in the film universe of legendary director James Cameron and developed by the Division creators. However, not much more is known about it yet.
During Ubisoft Forward first images of the game in the Snowdrop Engine were shown. Officially, the contents shown are referred to as game footage.
Why is the trailer interesting: The trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is visually impressive. The design closely follows the film “Avatar: Aufbruch nach Pandora” and shows a lot of love for detail. You see new areas on the planet Pandora, including some creatures that you haven’t even seen in the film yet.
The game itself was announced a few years ago, and since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what it would become. Now the trailer looks so good, that many fear a downgrade until release.

You can experience a story alone and race classic races with other players on a variety of tracks. In addition, the battle royale mode makes a comeback.
What makes the trailer so good? The racing game impresses with its varied game world. From deserts to dense jungles with ruins, including flora and fauna – everything is there. Forza Horizon 5 looks damn good, as MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus finds.
Even in our community, the presentation was very well received and was voted the best presentation at the Xbox Showcase.

What is Starfield? Starfield is supposed to be a single-player RPG in the style of Bethesda, just like Skyrim and Fallout 4. It takes place hundreds of years in the future, and humanity has made the leap into space.
However, there are no specific details about the gameplay or game content yet. The first trailer was shown at E3 2021.
Why is the trailer interesting: It is the very first moving material that exists for Starfield. The trailer does not show any real gameplay, but it already creates a lot of atmosphere.
It shows how a pilot boards his spaceship and initiates the launch. There are numerous details from the ship. We also learn that Starfield is being developed with Creation Engine 2, a new version of the same engine that was used in Skyrim or Fallout 4.

What is Breath of the Wild 2? This is the official sequel to the last installment in the Zelda series, Breath of the Wild. The franchise ranks among the greatest and most popular of Nintendo games alongside Mario and Pokémon, and consequently, every new release is eagerly awaited by fans.
The Zelda series is known for its mix of freely explorable game worlds, puzzles, combat, and unique characters.
Why is the trailer interesting: After a teaser at E3 2019, new material for Breath of the Wild 2 has been released for the first time with a short trailer. It partially shows the already known game world from the predecessor, but also some floating rock islands.
Speculations are already rampant about the direction the sequel will take. The trailer is correspondingly enigmatic. Unfortunately, the release in 2022 is still a long way off.

What is Battlefield 2042? This is the latest installment in the well-known Battlefield series. BF2042 will have a modern, slightly futuristic setting. As is typical for the series, massive material battles will take place on land, at sea, and in the air. At E3 2021, the first real gameplay was shown.
Why is the trailer interesting: After a long wait, the trailer shows gameplay for the upcoming multiplayer shooter and competitor to Call of Duty for the first time.
It shows for the first time the dimensions of the 64vs64 player matches and gives an impression of the massive maps. Everything is presented in impressive graphics and powerful sound, as is typical of Battlefield.
