Place 8: Lurtz
This Uruk-hai only appears in the films, but he represents his race and the other, equally dangerous orcs. Lurtz stands out due to his work ethic. He is chosen by Saruman to lead the Uruk-hai and hunt down the Fellowship.
During an encounter at the river Anduin, Lurtz kills Boromir with multiple arrows. He demonstrates his cruelty and how he enjoys seeing his victim suffer.
He then nearly kills Aragorn, one of the best fighters in The Lord of the Rings. Nearly, as the heir of Gondor manages to defeat Lurtz. Though the Uruk-hai doesn’t appear much in the story, he leaves a lasting impression with his brutality, strength, and stubbornness when it comes to fulfilling orders. His actions led to the destruction of the Fellowship of the Ring – a remarkable achievement with far-reaching consequences for Middle-earth.
