The best Polearms
These characters wield Polearms: As with the polearms, there are few characters who can equip this long weapon:
- ★★★★★ Xiao
- ★★★★☆ Xiangling
The best Polearm: Primordial Jade Winged-Spear
The Primordial Jade Winged-Spear deals a lot of damage, especially in prolonged fights thanks to its ability.
These are the base stats: The Primordial Jade Winged-Spear has a base attack value of 48 and provides a bonus to CRIT rate.
This is the weapon’s special ability: The spear increases its own ATK value by 3.2% with each hit. This value can stack 7 times every 0.3 seconds up to a maximum of 22.4%. Once the stacking limit is reached, damage increases by an additional 12%.
This makes the Jade Spear effective against bosses or larger enemies, as the full damage potential is only realized with a prolonged fight.
The second-best Polearm: Skyward Spine
Skyward Spine is the second-best polearm in the current game but can keep up well with the Jade Spear.
These are the base stats: The Skyward Spine has a base attack value of 48 and provides a recharge rate bonus.
This is the weapon’s special ability: The spear increases the critical hit value by 8% and the attack speed by 12%. Each attack also has a 50% chance to trigger a vacuum blade that deals damage equal to 40% of your ATK value to nearby enemies. This effect occurs no more than once every 2 seconds.
The Skyward Spine, with its area damage, is therefore better suited for larger groups or fast sphere runs.
The best Catalysts
These characters wield Catalysts: Catalysts are the second choice among characters in Genshin Impact. So it is not surprising that after One-Handed Swords, Catalysts are the most commonly wielded weapons:
- ★★★★★ Mona
- ★★★★★ Klee
- ★★★★☆ Lisa
- ★★★★☆ Barbara
- ★★★★☆ Sucrose
- ★★★★☆ Ningguang
The best Catalyst: Skyward Atlas
The Skyward Atlas is a pure DPS machine and is geared towards damage with both status values and abilities.
These are the base stats: The Skyward Atlas comes with a base attack value of 48 and gives a bonus to ATK.
This is the weapon’s special ability: Elemental damage increases by 12%. With each hit, there is a 50% chance of creating a cloud that actively attacks surrounding enemies and deals damage equal to 160% of your ATK value. However, this ability has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
This makes the Skyward Atlas particularly suitable for damage classes like Klee. The cloud will decimate enemies in the vicinity, and the ATK bonus ensures a high damage output.
This is the second-best Catalyst: Fruit of Fulfillment
The Fruit of Fulfillment is a catalyst particularly suited for heroes who have a short cooldown on their elemental abilities.
These are the base stats: Fruit of Fulfillment has a base attack value of 46 and gives a bonus to crit rate.
This is the weapon’s special ability: With the Fruit of Fulfillment, movement speed increases by 10%. Additionally, the character receives a buff after switching that increases elemental damage by 8%. This elemental effect stacks every 4 seconds up to a maximum of 4 stacks. The effect breaks when the character is switched again or loses consciousness.
This catalyst significantly enhances the elemental abilities of the heroes and makes them more mobile. This movement buff is particularly practical during exploration of the vast open world.
That’s why 4-star weapons are also good: 4-star weapons can be just as good because they are easier to “refine”. Duplicate models are fused into one to enhance the weapon’s ability. With 5-star weapons and their low drop rate of 0.7%, this is much more challenging.
