Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is based on the comic arc of the same name written by Jeph Loeb. The avowed Superman hater Lex Luthor is appointed as the US President. He not only boosts the economy but also forms his own superhero team.
For Superman and Batman, however, it is clear that something is not right. Lex frames Superman for the murder of a hero and he is labeled a fugitive criminal. Together with Batman, he tries to prove his innocence and get to the bottom of a kryptonite meteorite mystery.
