With Blue Protocol, a new anime MMORPG is on the horizon that could provide players with exactly what they want right now: a focus on story and PvE experiences.
What is Blue Protocol? It is an MMORPG that focuses on telling an exciting story. In this, you embody a hero who travels back 1,000 years in time to prevent a catastrophe.
Blue Protocol looks like a playable anime and places great value on cinematic cutscenes. There is even voice acting during the story.
The MMORPG also aims to impress you with PvE group content, but forgoes other MMO elements such as housing, life skills (for example, fishing), and initially also PvP. Instead, you will explore many dungeons and face boss monsters in large raids. The combat offers a lot of fast action.
The hope of many players
Why is it the MMORPG hope for many? The closed beta showed how great the interest in the game is. The testing phase took place from April 24 to 27 and faced a massive influx of players right from the start.
Since Blue Protocol, as a theme park MMORPG, focuses on storytelling and completing quests in groups, players have long been given a game that does not contain sandbox elements or have a PvP focus.
That seems to please many.
Those who were able to test the MMORPG have high hopes that Blue Protocol could be the next big thing in the genre.

In summary, some testers found it refreshing to play an MMORPG that focuses on quests and teamwork. Moreover, it is one of the best-looking anime MMORPGs out there.
The crafting system was well-received, and it is possible to level all classes with one character. However, Blue Protocol does not have a true open world, but only very large play zones.
What is being controversially discussed? Interestingly, there is currently a contentious topic in the community: PvP. At least at launch, the MMORPG does not have player-versus-player combat and focuses entirely on PvE.
This has led to the community splitting into two camps: one part wants PvP, while the other vehemently opposes it.
- LavishGuy13 would like to see PvP in Blue Protocol: “Without PvP, an MMO quickly becomes stale. And if the PvP is limited to an “arena” or a “dungeon”, it will be even more boring. Then I might as well play a single-player RPG or a cooperative RPG. Make it so that you have to switch to a “PvP” mode to fight other players in that mode.”
- Iceysheep on reddit does not want PvP in the game: “Don’t add PvP, let the developers focus on other things in the game to improve it. If they put too much work into PvP, the MMORPG could end up being another bad PvP like Kurtzpel. I see no need for PvP. This is a PvE game.”
When is Blue Protocol coming to us? It was said that Blue Protocol is also supposed to come to the West, but a release in Europe has not been mentioned by the developers for quite some time. For now, the MMORPG is planned for Japan.
