In Guild Wars 2 the big addon Path of Fire was released just this summer, and the next season of the living story is already on the agenda.
A major highlight of Guild Wars 2 is the living story. This story began in 2013 and has been consistently continued since then. Every few months, a new episode comes out that fundamentally changes the game. Sometimes, a large city gets burned to ashes, only to be completely rebuilt a few episodes later.
The individual episodes are released every 2 to 3 months, but there is often a long wait between the seasons of the story. It took over 9 months for Season 3 to be released after Heart of Thorns. However, Season 4 is expected to go much faster!
New season just 2 months after the end of Path of Fire?
As already announced by ArenaNet, Season 4 is expected to start soon after Path of Fire, so players won’t have to wait too long. This seems to be working out for the developers, as the announcement recently came: “Season 4 of the Living Story starts on November 28, 2017!”
This means the new story season begins just 2 months after the release of the expansion Path of Fire! However, ArenaNet has not yet revealed what the next season will be about. But there should be more information on the topic shortly before the start, and the new story is expected to seamlessly connect to the finale of Path of Fire.
