Pokémon GO has released a new feature that you won’t find in the game itself. This should help you find some in-game content more easily.
If you are traveling in Pokémon GO and keep going through the same area, you should eventually know quite well where to find gyms. In less familiar areas, that might look different.
Exactly for this point, and to find other content in the game more easily, there is now a new external feature released by Pokémon GO. This can be a great help.
Finally a real map
What is this feature? On the official game website, you will now find a new tab: the map of pokemongo.com. Here you can select a location and view some content that is happening near you.
These include the following content:
- Raids
- Super Mega Raids
- Events and Meetups
- Gyms
You can now check where gyms are located before you start a round in the game, where you can place your monsters to earn coins, or where raids are taking place.
This can be very helpful in finding a route with interesting strong content even before you start.
The ability to see events and meetups should also be of interest to some players. If you previously didn’t know whether and where meetups are in your area, you can now use the new map and check where they are located.
How do I use the map? After you have opened the map, click on “Location on the map” in the upper area of the map. Here you can enter your location.
Normally, all content that can be displayed on the map will be shown to you. If you only want to see which raids are in the area, click the corresponding activity at the top of the map.
You can currently only display all activities or a specific one. If you show raids, you will see a small X next to the “Raids” point. If you want to remove this filter, click on this X.
This will show you all activities on the map again.
If you click on a raid, you can also see when the raid ends. If you click on the 3 dots in the event display, you can share the raid or the other corresponding activity and get direct directions to it. For this, you will be redirected to Google Maps, and the coordinates will be entered here directly.
