Although Throne and Liberty is all about the guilds trying to ascend the throne, one guild stands out with its approach. It is particularly friendly and delights the community.
Who is it about? On Reddit, the user Br1ghtest showcases the guild chat of a guild. Within it, there are messages, translated from Japanese, thanking a player who had said goodbye for the day earlier.
Messages like the following fill the entire chat:
- “Thank you very much for your hard work”
- “Thank you very much for your visit”
- “Thank you very much for your support.”
Players who thank others for playing and are so friendly with each other seem to actually be a rarity. At least that’s what the community finds.

How does the guild come across? On Reddit, the guild manages to astonish the community. Very few have experienced such friendly guilds before, and they are even rarer in Throne and Liberty. Here, guilds frequently create problems internally as well. Even Reddit users report rarely experiencing such nice gestures in their own guilds, even outside of Throne and Liberty.
On Reddit, BicycleOne865 notes, “We can learn a lot from them.” The user AynixII responds to Reddit that this has already been done in Final Fantasy XIV and adds: “Why? Because it was enforced in the beginning and then became a habit. Other MMOs allow toxicity, so they are toxic.”
The user fymp thinks on Reddit that this is due to cultural differences: “A non-toxic community. The Japanese culture is different.” Lonely-Piper5715 adds on Reddit: “In Western culture, I feel like I’m constantly stuck in middle school.”
It seems to be different for some users in their guilds. Legal_Application170 reports on Reddit somewhat sarcastically that you get kicked from American guilds if you go offline.
What does the post trigger? The post on Reddit that shares the chat messages triggers in many a desire to be in such a guild or to change their own guild accordingly.
Some now want to switch to a Japanese guild, although there are surely also Japanese guilds that are not as friendly as the guild whose chat was published.
