Teamfight Tactics (PC, Android, iOS), the auto-chess game of League of Legends, will soon bring the new Set 4 that will change everything. We will tell you which champions are included in Set 4, when it will be released, and why it is particularly worthwhile for newcomers.
What is Set 4? TFT regularly changes all existing champions and the general setting of the game to stay fresh. Set 3 was released in March and had the theme of the galaxies. Accordingly, it received champions with origins like Star Guardian or Astro and classes like Space Pirate.
Set 4, on the other hand, will have the theme of “Fates” and completely new champions, mechanics, and a season pass to match. We have already gathered cheat sheets for Set 4.
When will Set 4 be released? Set 4 is expected to be released with patch 10.19. This is expected to be on September 16.
Already this week, around September 2, the update could find its way to the test server (PBE).

Why is Set 4 worthwhile for newcomers? With the start of a new set, suddenly everything is different in Teamfight Tactics. Even the veterans have to get to know all champions and their attributes at first.
In this phase, the game is the most fun, as there is no established meta yet, and one can experiment a lot and win matches with very crazy combos.
Those who have not yet tried TFT should seize the opportunity and be there right at the beginning of the set. To help you get a good start, we have collected beginner tips to ease your entry:

What we know about the origins
Warlords additionally receive – (3) 150 health points & 10 ability damage – (6) 400 health points & 25 ability damage – (9) 600 health points & 50 ability damage.
Every victorious fight they are involved in grants them additional health points and additional ability damage – up to 5 times. (3) 30 health points & 3 ability damage (6) 40 health points & 5 ability damage (9) 80 health points & 10 ability damage.
Twilight units increase the ability damage of all allies. (2) 20% (4) Twilight units receive an additional 40% ability damage (6) 50% for all, 100% for Twilight units.
Moonlight increases the star rating (level) of the weakest moonlight champion by 1. So if you have a Diana with 2 stars, a Lissandra with 2 stars, and a Sylas with 1 star, Sylas will be upgraded to a 2-star champion at the start of the fight. With this attribute, even 4-star champions are possible.
Cultists summon a Galio when the team’s health drops below 50%. (3) Tyrant Galio with 1,800 health and an AoE stun (6) Demon Lord Galio (9) Supreme Regions Galio with 7,000 health and 600 attack damage.
Divines ascend after being attacked six times or their health drops below 50%. This reduces the damage they take by 25% and causes them to deal additional true damage. (2) 20%, (4) 40%, (6) 65%, (8) 100%.
Ninjas gain additional attack and ability damage. The effect is active only if you have exactly 1 or 4 ninjas. (1) +45 attack and ability damage (4) +90 attack and ability damage.
Enlightened generate more mana. (2) 50% (4) 75% (6) 100%.
If a Spirit casts their ability for the first time, all allies receive attack speed depending on the mana cost of the ability. (2) 35% of the mana cost (4) 90% of the mana cost.
Woodland units grow every 2 seconds and gain additional stats. The effect can be increased up to 5 times. (3) 20 armor and magic resistance, 5 attack and ability damage (6) 35 armor and magic resistance, 10 attack and ability damage (3) 90 armor and magic resistance, 25 attack and ability damage.
If a Exiled has no adjacent allies at the start of combat, they gain (1) a shield equal to 50% of their maximum health (2) and 100% lifesteal.
Fortune: (3) Victories over other players grant additional orbs. The longer you go without receiving an orb, the greater the rewards.
Tormented: After participating in three fights, the tormented can transform.
The Boss: When the Boss first drops to 40% health, he retreats from the battle and does sit-ups. Each sit-up restores 15% health and grants him 20% attack speed. When he is back to full health, he returns to the fight. His normal attacks and abilities deal true damage from then on. If all allies die, he returns immediately.

What changes with arenas, carousel, and co.
What changes with the selection of champions? As lead designer Mortdog revealed, Set 4 will have changes to the carousel. The item distribution will be adjusted to eliminate unfair carousels. Additionally, rounds with complete items will be removed.
Especially the second carousel is expected to be interesting:
- 80% chance that each item appears once + 1 random
- 15% chance that each item appears once + 1 spatula
- 5% chance that there are 3 spatulas and 6 random items.
What else changes in TFT? With Set 4, 3 new arenas will be introduced into the game. These arenas will change with victories, defeats, streaks, and the deaths of 3-star champions.
In addition, there is a new battle pass for 1,295 RP, which contains a lot of bonuses and star shards, the currency of the season. Star shards are needed for little legends. New variants will also be introduced, including the three legendary legends Ao Shin, Umbra, and Choncc.
Set 4 brings many changes to Teamfight Tactics. But there are also many innovations in League of Legends. Thus, the new champion Samira unexpectedly landed on the test server, so we already know some details about the abilities.
