On September 13, the new Set 9.5 was released in Teamfight Tactics. Although the basic principle from the old Set 9 has remained, some new champions, items, and attributes have been introduced. In this guide, we present three combos that will help you easily win the first rounds.
What characterizes the featured comps? In this guide, we will present the combos:
- Void
- Noxus
- Bilgewater
All three combos are super easy to learn because you can work towards the finished board from the very beginning. Void, Noxus, and Bilgewater champions can be collected right from Level 1.
Also strong right now are the Bastion Targons and Rogues comps, but these two builds are harder to play and therefore are not covered in this guide.
8 Voids
When should I play the combo? For this combo, it is essential to have a Void emblem. The best way to get this is through the Region Portals right at the start of the game. However, you may also get lucky and obtain a Void emblem through augmentations.

What attributes are activated?
- 8 Void
- 2 Bruiser
- 2 Sorcerer

What items do I need? Your two carries in the game are Kai’Sa and Bel’Veth.
Kai’Sa absolutely needs Jeweled Gauntlet and Spear of Shojin. As a third item, Guardbreaker is the strongest, but Guinsoo’s Rageblade is also a possibility.
Bel’Veth, on the other hand, loves Bloodthirster and Titan’s Resolve. A third item can be the Rapid Firecannon, but also something defensive.
Fiora logically gets the Void emblem. Remaining tank items can be placed on Rek’Sai or Kassadin.
What is the general playstyle? You start in the early game directly with 3 Void characters, usually Malzahar, Cho’Gath, and Kassadin. You definitely want to get Rek’Sai to have two bruisers in the frontline. Useful additions are also Swain for the Sorcerer buff or Taric for Sorcerer and Bastion.
You want to get to Level 8 with the combo as quickly as possible. So, you save up to 50 gold and then try to level up. This method is also called “Fast 8”. You try to have a win or a lose streak to maximize your gold. The goal is to reach Level 7 around 3-6. Level 8 should be possible by Stage 4-3.
At Level 8, you will first roll all of your gold to find the most important champions for your combo, preferably also directly Bel’Veth.
7 Noxus
When should I play the combo? You can actually play this combo at any time. Logically, you switch to this combo when you find early Noxus champions like Cassiopeia, Samira, and Swain.

- 7 Noxus
- 2 Slayer
- 2 Juggernaut

What items do I need? Your main damage comes from the champion Mordekaiser and your tank is Swain. He primarily relies on Redemption and Warmog’s Armor. As a third item, both Sunfire Cape and Ionic Spark work.
You feed Mordekaiser with Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Nashor’s Tooth, and Rapidfire Cannons. The bows are thus an important component of the combo.
Further offensive items can optionally be placed on Darius or later in the game on Aatrox, while defensive items go to Sion.
What is the general playstyle? In the Noxus combo, you play quite boringly. You quickly gather 50 gold, always buy the right units, and aim to reach Level 6 around Stage 3-2. Besides the classic units of the combo, Warwick fits well in the team because he brings the attributes Challenger for Samira and Juggernaut for Darius.
If you have lost too much health by Level 6, you first try to gather the 5 Noxus + Warwick for the combo. If you are doing well in the game, you can simply continue leveling up to Level 7.
Since you usually won’t find a Sion immediately at Level 8, Jarvan IV and Heimerdinger are also good units to bridge the search. Until you find Aatrox, you should also place another Slayer so that Mordekaiser can reach his full potential.
7 Bilgewaters
When should I play the combo? Bilgewater is one of the new combos from Set 9.5. Similar to Noxus, it applies that you can switch to this origin at any time. Especially when you have Illaoi and Graves at the start, it makes sense to continue building in this direction.

What attributes are activated?
- 7 Bilgewater
- 2 Gunner
- 2 Juggernaut

What items do I need? Your carry in this build is Miss Fortune, while Nautilus takes on the role of tank.
Miss Fortune definitely needs Giant Slayer and Jeweled Gauntlet to deal maximum damage. Adaptive Helm or Blue Buff are good additions.
Nautilus, on the other hand, likes Warmog’s Armor, Redemption, and optionally Sunfire Cape or Dragon’s Claw.
Further damage items go to Nilah, while Illaoi takes the other tank items.
What is the general playstyle? The basic flow is very similar to Void. You build an early combo of 3 Noxus and later on 5 Noxus + Warwick.
