For European players of TERA, many changes are coming soon for the PC version. The servers of the PC version of TERA are merging: Who will be the German server after the integration in 2018?
Players of the MMORPG TERA published by Gameforge on PC should brace themselves for some changes soon. In a few weeks, TERA plans to merge its servers. There will then be only one server per language.
The following server merges will take place for the different languages:
- The English server Sikander will disappear and will be integrated into Mystel.
- The German server Saleron will disappear and will be integrated into Yurian.
- The French server Amarun will disappear and will be integrated into Seren.
- The international server Killian will remain unaffected.
German players will choose the Yurian server in the future
For German players who also want to chat in German, the server of choice will be Yurian.
Those who prefer to play on an international server with predominantly English language can continue to access the Killian server.
The developers hope to achieve the usual effects of server consolidation, which has been relied upon by other MMORPGs. With a greater concentration of players on fewer servers, positive aspects are expected to occur, such as shorter wait times in group searches and more players for shared activities.
The server merger is expected to take place “at the beginning of May.” However, there is no specific date yet.
It is also uncertain what this server merger will mean for characters and what will happen with duplicate names. As soon as there are definitive answers to these issues, we will update the article and inform you.
