In LoL Auto Chess, Teamfight Tactics, a new and strong combo has emerged. At the center are the champion Pyke and the item Spear of Shojin.
What makes Pyke so strong? Pyke is a pirate and assassin. His skill allows him to glide through enemies. When his shadow then follows him, he stuns the enemies he has glided through.
The special thing is that Pyke is invulnerable while gliding from his position to the new one. Afterwards, the item Spear of Shojin comes into play.

What does the Spear of Shojin do? After the champion equips it uses their skill, they regain 15% of their mana per attack through the Spear of Shojin. The Spear consists of the items Giant’s Blade and Tear of the Goddess, as you can see in the Item Cheat Sheet for Teamfight Tactics.
The Spear of Shojin is currently one of the strongest in the game, especially because it quickly provides magical champions with the mana they need to unleash their abilities. Pyke also benefits greatly from it.
How does the fight with Pyke look? Currently, items can be stacked in Teamfight Tactics, allowing Pyke to have a second Spear. This way, he can have full mana again after two attacks and use his skill again.
In a typical team fight, Pyke attacks twice, and from that point on, he is nearly invulnerable. He glides through enemies, stuns them, uses the time to recharge his mana, glides through enemies again, and stuns them again.
Depending on the position of the champions, Pyke could almost live indefinitely. Additionally, he provides good crowd control, benefiting the entire group.

What items should I give Pyke? Besides the Spear of Shojin, Pyke also loves the Phantom Dancer. This item allows Pyke to automatically evade all critical hits.
Ranged champions are his biggest weakness, as they usually do not get hit by his stun when there are still melee champions alive. However, since critical damage is often stacked on them, Pyke can survive easily.
Otherwise, Pyke likes offensive weapons like Guinsoo’s Rageblade or Hextech Gunblade, as these also deal magical damage.
Which champions fit Pyke? Pyke is an assassin and thus enjoys the bonus for assassins. It’s best to collect all assassins, as you need six, and there are only seven in total.
The Assassin combo was already popular even without the knowledge about Pyke and the Spear of Shojin.
This setup also includes the robot Blitzcrank well. He pulls the farthest character to him, usually taking them out of the game. Additionally, he creates a gap for assassins to jump in.
Pyke himself is also a pirate, which can provide additional gold, especially in the early game. With Graves (Tier 1) and Gangplank (Tier 3) on the team, Pyke gives you extra gold.
This combination will soon be easier as a new pirate champion has been released on the PBE.
