The new yet unstable Teamfight Tactics is now playable for everyone and it is surpassing Dota Underlords in Google interest in Germany. Dota Underlords is already balancing and releasing 3 updates in just a few days. We look at the patch notes-
This is the situation in Germany: The Google interest shows that Dota Underlords and Teamfight Tactics were still on equal footing at the beginning of the week in Germany. At that time, Dota Underlords was already “normally” playable on Steam while Teamfight Tactics was still on the test client of LoL.
Since June 26, Teamfight Tactics has also been released and is surpassing Dota Underlords in Google interest in Germany.
Currently, interest during peak times in Teamfight Tactics is about 3 times greater than in Dota Underlords. However, Teamfight Tactics is still suffering from teething problems and is not stable, while Dota Underlords has already gone through the worst and can focus on fine-tuning.
Dota Underlords: Knights Forward and Back
This is happening at Dota: Valve has released 3 updates for Dota Underlords in the last 3 days:
- On June 25, the big “balance” update came, significantly strengthening Knights and Dragons – they were previously at the bottom of the tier list
- Already on June 26, Valve reeled in the Knights again. They were simply too strong; Omniknight and Dragonknight received individual nerfs
- Yesterday, on July 27, further nerfs were made for the “Knight Alliance” overall. Additionally, the warrior CC character Kunkka was significantly nerfed and Medusa was somewhat weakened.
The patches also changed: In addition to balance changes, Dota Underlords is already focusing on fine-tuning and has made numerous changes and improvements to the UI.
For instance, 11 different champions have had their voices restored, and the network connection on iOS and Android outside of the USA has been improved.
Even minor changes to the interface are well received – people are pleased that they can now close the shop more quickly.
What’s behind it: Dota Underlords and Teamfight Tactics are certainly games that compete with each other.
However, it is a kind of proxy war between the two giant “MOBAs” that serve as their mothers.
Anyone who cannot get into Dota 2 and has been playing League of Legends for years will also remain loyal to the auto battle of their franchise. The same applies in reverse.
