SWTOR has published the roadmap for the remainder of 2017. And that means a big content patch every month this summer!
Players of Star Wars: The Old Republic have been wondering for a while what big plans 2017 still holds for them. So far, BioWare has been rather reserved, but yesterday (31.05.2017) a roadmap for the remainder of the year was finally published. Accordingly, at least the summer is packed with content and the next patch is set to be released in just under 2 weeks. A total of 3 updates are planned for the summer:
Summer on Nar Shaddaa – Patch 5.2.2 (June 13)
The Nar Shaddaa nightlife event will return with all known rewards and some new features. In addition, there will be new legacy perks that can increase the speed of speeder bikes. The maximum speed will then be 130%. Also interesting: If a character has already reached Command Rank 300, then all other characters of the legacy can receive a bonus on Command Rank XP.
Sisters of the Bloodbath – Patch 5.3 (July)
The update includes the second boss fight in the “Gods from the Machine” operation – Aivela and Esne (Story & Veteran). Besides a new stronghold, the focus here is on class balance: Sorcerer, PowerTech, Assassin, Sniper, Mercenary, and Saboteur will be revised (as will their Republic counterparts).
Crise on Umbara – Patch 5.4 (August)
The story will advance with a new Flashpoint that revolves around the eponymous “Crisis on Umbara”. Further content of the patch will be announced in the future.
Last but not least, the developers promise to engage with players more frequently in the future and to provide them with information. There should no longer be long “drought periods” without new information on the game’s plans.
The complete roadmap with all details can be found as usual in our sources.
