Fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic can look forward to new content. The developers have announced a new expansion.
In Star Wars: The Old Republic, there is always the concern that the game is slowly approaching its end. “Was this expansion the last?”, is heard as a worried question from the community. But apparently, that fear is still unfounded. Because SWTOR has just pulled a new expansion out of the hat: Legacy of the Sith, or short: LotS.
What is it about? The story continues the plotline of the rogue Sith Darth Malgus. He is still planning something big, although it is not yet entirely clear what that actually is.
To uncover this, the heroes travel to the water planet Manaan and several other locations. Details are not yet available, but some initial artworks already reveal what kind of flair you can expect on the (partially) new worlds.
What content will there be? Here, too, not all content is known yet, but the following information has already been revealed:
- The maximum level increases in the course of the story from 75 to 80.
- New group missions that are supposed to be harder than all previous ones, including:
- A new flashpoint on the planet Elom
- A new operation in the wreck of a research station
- New “combat styles” feature that combines a class story with abilities from other classes
- Redesign for a “tighter” class design
- Improvements for character creation
More information will surely be revealed in the coming days and weeks.
Many events planned for 2022: The release of “Legacy of the Sith” is supposed to be just the starting signal for a whole series of different activities.
Throughout 2022, there are plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of SWTOR and promises of “new content, events, updates, and more” throughout the year. That already sounds like several content patches and probably one or the other cosmetic highlight.
Are you excited about a new expansion for SWTOR?
