The MMORPG year 2024 is coming to an end, and alongside some good releases, there have been several new expansions for MMORPG fans. We are interested in which game you spent the most time in this year.
Although the year 2024 was not packed with MMORPG releases, Throne and Liberty managed to captivate many players, especially in the second half of the year. Tarisland created a brief hype before the game, which is still considered a WoW clone by many, faded into obscurity.
Otherwise, 2024 brought many major updates and expansions for MMORPG fans. WoW introduced many new contents with the expansion The War Within and Final Fantasy XIV provided its players with the addon Dawntrail.
In Guild Wars 2, there was an expansion with Janthir Wilds, and Elder Scrolls Online offered its players the expansion Gold Road. Players of Black Desert Online celebrated the game’s 10th anniversary in “Land of the Morning Light: Seoul” in 2024.
The smaller titles also keep things interesting, led by Star Wars: The Old Republic, which, although it didn’t come with a new expansion, had a nice graphic update. But Morgoth’s Legacy for Lord of the Rings Online also brought new content to the classic game. At Amazon Games, they introduced new raids and starter servers in Lost Ark and the expansion New World: Aeternum.
