In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, fans currently have a reason to rejoice. The popular mode Shoot House 24/7 is back and can now be played again after it was removed last time.
UPDATE – December 6, 8:00 PM: Players didn’t have to wait long. There is a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – and this brings Shoot House 24/7 back, among other things. The popular map is therefore playable again in the 24/7 format.
This is the status of the mode: At the start of Season 1 in Modern Warfare, there was massive criticism of the developers. They removed the popular multiplayer map Shoot House from the 24/7 playlist, where the map could be played continuously.
The opportunity to play this map in a sort of dedicated mode around the clock without rotation had been the highlight of the game for many players. Shoot House was especially popular for its small size, good sightlines, and intense close-quarters battles. However, this map was replaced in the 24/7 format by the map Crash.
And that was not a good replacement, as many fans loudly pointed out – even though Crash itself was one of the most popular maps from the original Modern Warfare.
Shoot House 24/7 Returns – After Much Pressure
This is what Infinity Ward said: On the subreddit of Modern Warfare, there was still a lot of complaining, and one player had a particularly creative idea for expressing criticism. He showed a picture where he aimed at a chicken in Modern Warfare and wrote “Bring Shoot House 24/7 back or the chicken gets it.”

Over 35,000 upvotes were received for the image and the developers responded. They wrote: “Okay, okay, just don’t kill the chicken. (Future update).”
What does this mean for the players? Infinity Ward is very much aware of the criticism surrounding the game mode. Therefore, the developer now reacts and promises the return of Shoot House 24/7 – but not immediately, rather in a future update (This has already been released and brought back Shoot House 24/7).
How are players reacting to this? The responses are mostly positive. Many players praise the reddit community for apparently being able to awaken the developers on this issue with their numerous voices.
The thread creator promises he will definitely protect the chicken now.
Other soldiers thank Joe Cecot, the co-design director of the multiplayer part, for communicating the plans so openly. This is well-received, and players want more of that.
