The Twitch streamer Jay3 surprises his father and pays off his debts live on Twitch. With this sweet gesture, he brings him to tears – while being showered with hearts by the viewers.
Who is the streamer? Jay3 is a streamer from Florida who mainly broadcasts Overwatch 2. He refers to himself in his Twitch info as “the most positive streamer in the world (via Twitch).” On the platform, he has over 556,000 followers.
On June 28, he announced on Twitter that he wants to share his biggest success on stream. He encourages his community to turn on the notification to not miss it. He says: “It’s going to be very emotional.”
And he didn’t promise too much, because with a sweet gesture he moved his father to tears. Jay3 paid off his father’s debts in one go – who was completely baffled and could hardly believe it.
What exactly happened in the stream? On June 28, after his tweet, Jay3 went live for 21 minutes. In the stream, he said that there will be a big announcement. It would not be about a house or a car. “My heart is beating like crazy,” says the streamer.
He then shares his family situation. “My mother died when I was 17. But this is about my father. He lost his wife. His mother died, his father died. All these things happened to my family. I’ve been streaming for over 7 years. […] I appreciate everyone who supports me.”
With tears, he says: “My dad is debt-free. And that’s all I want to say. He is getting old. […] The reason I’m doing this on stream is – it comes from you guys. This is not from me. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to do this. I want to thank you for that.”
Here you see another streamer who also became famous through a nice gesture:
“You deserve it.”
How does his father react? When his father enters the room, Jay3 says to him: “The chat has a surprise for you.” He takes a seat on the chair, cheerfully greets the chat with “Chat, what’s up? Papa-Jay3 in the House!” Jay3 asks his father to close his eyes and puts an envelope in his hand.
Jay3 says that his debts have been paid off. He looks in the envelope and says several times “What?” and “Impossible.” Then he says to his son: “Was that you? Come on, man.” and rubs his eyes. Jay3 replies: “It was us.”
Here you can see his reaction in the Twitch clip:
After that, he looks up and says toward the chat: “God bless you all. […] I came from work, took a shower, to then receive the biggest surprise of my life.”
He points to the chat and says “Look at this, wow.”
How does the community react? In the chat, the viewers spam heart emojis and messages like “We paid off the debts!” and “You deserve it.” The clip has over 85,000 views so far.
