The streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel is no longer the most-watched streamer on Twitch. His viewer hours halved in early April 2021 since he was banned from playing on the roleplay server for GTA 5, “No Pixel”. He was kicked from the server three times. The last kick was apparently too much. Since the ban, xQc has been streaming much less on Twitch.
So xQc’s numbers have changed:
- A week ago, xQc accumulated 9.27 million viewer hours on Twitch in 7 days – which gave him a clear number 1 spot. He had over 3 million hours lead on the second place.
- Now he has plummeted to 4.22 million hours for the same value. Thus, he lost more than half of his viewer hours. However, that’s still enough for a strong number 2 spot.
The new number 1 on Twitch is now the constant streamer Ludwig, whose subathon just won’t stop. In contrast to xQc, Ludwig even gained in the last week.
xQc is banned from the roleplay server for GTA 5 three times
Why did xQc lose the number 1 spot? In the extremely strong previous week, xQc was almost constantly on the roleplay server “No Pixel” for GTA 5. There he played a criminal who repeatedly clashed with police officers portrayed by other streamers.

The cat-and-mouse game and the constant conflicts with the police were highly appreciated by xQc’s fans:
- xQc constantly complained about the supposedly bad treatment he received from the cops.
- He accused the police streamer of wanting to profit from his fame and harassing him by stopping him and forcing him to interact with them longer.
- Once, xQc shot two cops from a prison cell with a weapon he had smuggled in. He felt unfairly treated then.
But xQc is no longer showing GTA 5 because he was banned from the server after xQc clashed with the cops again on Easter.
“I’ll be back on the streets very soon!”
At first, xQc apparently thought that this third permanent ban would also be lifted quickly like the first two:
- One of the cops told him the whole server hopes he logs off and doesn’t come back.
- But xQc was sure: He would be back on the streets soon.
In the following days, it became a running gag. In the stream, it was repeatedly a topic that xQc would be unbanned practically any second and would be allowed to play GTA 5 again.
The 3rd ban of xQc on GTA 5 No Pixel was apparently permanent
The fans wanted to see him back in GTA 5. xQc himself probably also longed to continue his adventures on the roleplay server.
But it doesn’t seem that xQc will be back on the streets of the simulated city anytime soon. As xQc explains in his Discord, the last ban was apparently permanent.
He says he will now stay out of everything to see if he can still play GTA 5, but seems to expect that this time is over.
Without the roleplay server in GTA 5, xQc seems to have lost some interest in streaming. He was significantly less on air in the last week. Moreover, he apparently has business to attend to. He now has his own flavor of Gfuel, the “Juice,” and often refers to his viewers as “Juicers” and has been talking about “the Juice” for years – but he doesn’t seem to know exactly what that is himself.
Is the ban also negatively affecting GTA 5? Well, it is missing about 4 million viewer hours – just like xQc. However, the hours are affecting differently:
- While xQc lost 54% of viewer hours in the last 7 days
- GTA 5 only loses 10% of viewer hours on Twitch in the same period.
Apparently, the operators of No Pixel have decided to listen to the other streamers: Many had demanded serious consequences for xQc after he had behaved selfishly and toxically multiple times. He appears to be self-centered and reckless in K9 conflict situations. Apparently, he loses control after long streaming sessions and lets his emotions run wild. His fans reward him for behaving like that, but other streamers do not appreciate it.
After the last incident, other Twitch streamers on No Pixel demanded: They did not want to be “food” for xQc clips on YouTube, as he uses them for his purposes.
How is it going for xQc now: xQc still has many viewers when he streams Minecraft now, but significantly fewer than when he was active in GTA 5. In Minecraft, he is doing great, by the way. It’s nice to see that he has his temperament under control:
xQc unbanned and back in No Pixel
Update 13.4., 9:42 AM: The ban from No Pixel was not permanent but lasted only a week. xQc was unbanned.
That he can stream on No Pixel again apparently surprised the streamer himself. In a Twitch clip, you can see his first reaction when he realizes he is allowed back on the server:
xQc has already completed a mammoth stream in GTA 5:
- The new stream lasted almost 24 hours
- had an average of over 100,000 viewers
- and was the second most successful stream of xQc in the last 90 days.
The streamer xQc has come a long way to the top of Twitch in the last 3 years. In 2018, it started out much smaller:
