As reported by massivelyop, the death of actor Leonard Nimoy touches and concerns fans as well as the developers of the MMO Star Trek Online. In condolences, players emphasize the important role Nimoy has played in their lives.
One player suggests that the developers should design a cross-faction mission that gives a dignified conclusion to Spock’s life in the Star Trek universe. Others desire a memorial outside the Vulcan space dock.

The developers honor in a letter the life and work of Leonard Nimoy, which goes far beyond the Star Trek universe. In the letter, they express their gratitude for his help in introducing the MMO to a wide audience in 2009.
