In the SF-MMO Star Trek Online, Season 11: New Dawn is approaching. A new chapter begins and plans are in place to elevate players from Captain to Admiral.
The Iconian War, that Star Trek Online has been building up to for so long, is coming to an end. Now Cryptic has announced Season 11 “New Dawn”. Here, they intend to open a new story, where players will meet a traveler from another time. The focus of the story will be on hope and discovery. Not much will be revealed yet; that is still to come.
A logical step is being taken in the area of “mini-games” so to speak. In Star Trek Online, you could already send crew members on missions for a long time. This system has now also been adopted by World of Warcraft, Rift and Skyforge . With New Dawn, it will be possible not only to command crew members but also your own inactive ships. They will not only be “kept ready for switching”, but can also be sent out, receiving certain attributes depending on their type.
Thus, while World of Warcraft’s crew member system was “adopted” with Warlords of Draenor, they are now taking the second step back from World of Warcraft. There, since the last patch, ships can be sent out, although not spaceships.
