The highlights of the week:
- For Throne and Liberty, Patch 2.4.0 went live on April 3, 2025. New is a system for managing runes, there were also adjustments to loot from guilds and Discord Stone bosses. What else has happened? Did you know that the MMORPG Tibia has not received a single new class since its release in January 1997? That will change on April 8, 2025. - The developers of the MMORPG Lost Ark have presented their new roadmap. They reveal what players can expect until summer. The community is surprised.
- When you are part of a guild in an MMORPG like WoW for many years, you might eventually look at a long list of characters that haven’t been online in ages. But that doesn’t mean you’re really alone. That’s exactly what a nice community story from Azeroth shows.
- At the end of 2024, Blizzard opened anniversary servers for WoW Classic, where everything was reset. Now these servers are reaching a milestone – and a bunch of people are quitting. The reason behind this could be a frowned-upon cheating scheme, some users say.
- Blizzard surprises the players of World of Warcraft every year with new April Fool’s jokes. An April Fool’s joke from 2009 has even made it into the game for real with Lorenhall.
- A grind in World of Warcraft is so exhausting that most people give up before the first reward. Only gold farmers are happy.
- You can quickly farm reputation with the goblin cartels in WoW. Because there is a trick that gives you reputation every time.

- The developers of Black Desert Online have announced the end of their popular MMORPG on two consoles. But players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can breathe a sigh of relief. Additionally, the developers have released an infographic for the 9th anniversary of the MMORPG:

- One of the leads from the Lord of the Rings Online team reached out to the community to present the plans for the upcoming content of the MMORPG. There is information on updates 44 and 45 as well as the next expansion.

- Due to the enormous success in Asia, the MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising will be coming to the West. At the start of pre-registration, there was another trailer and concrete information about the release.
- Just before the month changed, Ashes of Creation received a comprehensive content update for Alpha 2. The ambitious MMORPG is taking an important step towards Alpha 3. Studio head Steven Sharif revealed more details about the development in an interview with TheLazyPeon.
- At the Game Developers Conference 2025, a new MMORPG was shown behind closed doors, which you probably haven’t heard of yet – behind it is probably the most lucrative game in the world: Honor of Kings.
- Every StarCraft fan has looked at World of Warcraft and wondered: When will my favorite franchise from Blizzard finally get an MMORPG? With some luck, this wish could come true in a few years.
- BitCraft Online will soon launch on Steam in Early Access. The people responsible at Clockwork Laboratories have not only revealed the date but also details on monetization.
- The developers of Pax Dei have adjusted their roadmap for 2025 and detailed the improvements that are to land on the Early Access servers in spring.
- With a new update, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has received PvP servers for the first time. Many players of the MMORPG are not happy about this. The ratings on Steam are dropping.
- With Star Resonance, there is reportedly a spinoff MMORPG to the prematurely discontinued Blue Protocol. In a first test of the PC version, there was apparently so much negative feedback that the developers have announced comprehensive improvements compared to the mobile version (via X).
