The new LEGO set “Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of the Red Dragon” is coming soon and takes us into the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 and more. Here you will find everything you need to know about the set.
Which set is it? In honor of the 50th anniversary of the role-playing classic Dungeons & Dragons, a LEGO set for all fantasy fans, “Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of the Red Dragon,” is being released. The design idea was originally from a fan, Lucas Bolt, who won a building competition. His fan model was then transformed by LEGO into an official set.
- It includes 3745 pieces, 6 figures, and 1 campaign.
- The finished model measures 48 cm high, 37 cm wide, and 30 cm deep.
- The price in the LEGO online store is €359.99.
- The set will be released on April 4, 2024.
For members of LEGO Insider, LEGO’s free community platform, the set will already be available from April 1, 2024.

From the Owlbear to the Dragon, everything is included
Using a total of 3745 pieces, you can build a medieval diorama with “Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of the Red Dragon.” The structure contains:
- A tavern, from which the roof and upper floor can be removed for indoor play.
- A dungeon
- A tower
There are also 6 minifigures, including numerous accessories. 5 of them come with an extra head for swapping.
- 5 adventurers: Elf wizard, gnome fighter, dwarf cleric, orc rogue, dragonborn bard
- A innkeeper
Besides the brave heroes, monsters and other dangers must not be missing. Included are some classics from the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
- The red dragon “Flamehowler,” which can wrap around the tower
- A beholder
- An owlbear
- A mimic
- 3 skeletons
- A gelatinous cube
- 2 mimics
- 1 awakened tree
As a free extra, when purchasing in the LEGO shop from April 1 to 7, there will be an additional mimic made up of 165 pieces.
A personal campaign? The most important thing in D&D is of course the actual roleplay. So it is only fitting that the associated LEGO set also represents more than just decoration for the shelf.
In collaboration with Wizards of the Coast, the company behind Dungeons & Dragons, a special campaign has been developed for the building set. So you can play an authentic DnD adventure completely with LEGO!
The rulebook will be available for free as a download at launch, or alternatively for €18 as a print version.
