Sony has announced the date for the next PlayStation event. This time, the focus is on a lot of new gameplay footage for games for the PS4 and PS5.
Where does the information come from? Sony explained in the official PlayStation Blog when the next State of Play for PlayStation will take place. And the date is already this week in August.
When will the next State of Play event take place? The next State of Play event will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 10 PM German time.
Where can I watch the State of Play event? You can watch the event on both Twitch and YouTube. The show will be streamed live by Sony.
What will Sony showcase? According to Sony, you can look forward to the following information at the next PlayStation event:
- Games that will be released for the PS4 and PlayStation VR (PSVR) are expected to be shown.
- Additionally, they plan to showcase more new titles for the PlayStation 5, this time from third-party developers.
- Furthermore, they will offer additional news about games presented in the last show. The featured games included among others Godfall and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and the mysterious “Project Athia”
- Overall, they plan to show more than 40 minutes of gameplay.
The most important event at the State of Play in June was the presentation of the official PS5 design. However, it currently looks like there won’t be any major announcements at the State of Play in August.
Sony Event: A lot of new gameplay, neither price nor release date
We shouldn’t expect any information on (yet): Sony stated in the blog what we definitely will not see. And that might disappoint some fans:
There will be no news regarding PlayStation Studios this Thursday. There will also be no news about hardware, business, pre-orders, or release dates.
