The shooter “Nine to Five” launched on May 16, 2022, on Steam. Just 5 months later, on October 19, the game’s cancellation was announced.
Which shooter is it? The shooter is the game title “Nine to Five”. The game is a team-based multiplayer in first-person style, where the goal is to defeat the opponent with a good strategy and collaboration in the squad.
The shooter comes from the developer studio Redhill Games and launched on May 16, 2022, on Steam.
MeinMMO had explained earlier, at the beginning of the game in Early Access in 2020, how the gameplay in the shooter looks.
But now, just five months after the official release of the full game, there was an announcement on October 19, 2022, that the servers would soon go down.
How long will the servers be online? There will be no further updates or patches for the game, but the servers will still be online this year. Then, on January 18, 2023, there will be the final closure.
Why is the shooter closing on Steam?
What do the developers say about the closure? In an announcement on Steam, the team from “Redhill Games” commented on the upcoming closure. It states that they have thought through their decision thoroughly, but have now come to the conclusion to put Nine to Five on hold. The decision was not an easy one for them.
The team is well aware that many players are attached to the game, but regular updates with new content are not possible, which is why they would make the decision to close the servers.

What comes next? In the announcement it states: “From this moment on, we will turn away from the development of our own titles and focus on collaborating with other game developers on joint projects” (via Steam).
Apparently, resources and time of the team will now flow into future projects that they will develop in collaboration with other companies.
As “Nine to Five” approaches its end, other games are preparing for their release on Steam – such as the multiplayer shooter “Redfall”. You can find the trailer here:
