The series “Reacher” will receive a third season in 2025. A casting decision has now been announced that has thrilled fans. The new addition impresses mainly with his enormous height.
Who is the new character in season 3? Jack Reacher has appeared in two films and the Amazon Prime series over the past few years. However, the character originally comes from the novels of thriller author Lee Child, who had to approve of certain changes in the series first.
Fans of the books will be pleased to know that a character new to the series comes directly from the literary source. This is Paul Masserella, who appears in the novel “The Janus Man.” The character is the bodyguard of the main villain Zachary Beck and goes by the affectionate nickname “Paulie.”
In the book, the character is described as “a very big guy.” He is even six centimeters taller than Jack Reacher, who is already huge. A challenging task for the series’ casting department, but according to fans, the responsible parties have found the perfect candidate for the role.

The biggest bodybuilder in the world
Who plays Paulie? As has now been announced, the Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters will take on the role. On his Instagram profile, he describes himself as the “biggest actor and bodybuilder in the world.”
His dimensions are impressive: Richters is 219 centimeters tall and weighs 160 kilos. In comparison, Reacher actor Alan Ritchson looks quite small at about 195 centimeters. In the new season, two big men will meet, who are expected not only to chat together.
The actor Anthony Hall, who plays the main antagonist in season 3, reveals:
This character (Paulie) lives in the series, and they have an epic fight. I don’t want to give too much away, but yes, they definitely meet like in the book. The encounter between Reacher and Paulie has something Marvel-like, right? They are like two guys in superhero size, so that’s kind of cool.
