The survival game Rust is currently very popular among German streamers. Some of the biggest German streamers are currently playing on two major Rust servers. We introduce both projects and show you on which server your favorite streamer is active.
These are the two Rust servers: The majority of the German streamers currently playing Rust are active on two servers. These are “RUSTplatz” and “Twitch Prime is free”.
Who owns the servers?
- The streamer server “RUSTplatz” was founded by Bonjwa, RocketBeans, and Dhalucard.
- The “Twitch Prime is free” project is operated by Rumathra and was temporarily offline after an escalation. On January 15th, Season 2 started on this server.
German streamers play on these Rust servers
The currently largest Rust server with German streamers is “RUSTplatz”. There are 112 German-speaking streamers and content creators active, who primarily engage in role-playing. On the unofficial website rustplatz.live, created by Moritz Ruth, all players and teams can be viewed. There, the individual live streams are also linked.
The RUSTplatz project
The project founded by Bonjwa, RocketBeans, and Dhalucard is very popular and has been able to recruit some notable German streamers.

What makes the server so special? Only streamers can participate on RUSTplatz. They must be invited by another participant in advance. The server is also only online daily from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
Players can only kill other players after prior role-play, except in the “Kill on Sight” zones (short KOS zones). Furthermore, the global text chat has been disabled, and communication takes place exclusively in the in-game voice chat.
The “Twitch Prime is free” project
The German Rust server was founded by Rumathra and launched on January 9, 2021. From the beginning, there were some issues, and the project was prematurely stopped on January 12. The reason for this was the behavior of some players. After a revision of the rules, the second season began on January 15 with a revised rule set and its own PvP RP zone.

The project website also lists several participants who have since moved to RUSTplatz.
What makes the server so special? At the beginning, the project was the largest German-speaking Rust streamer server, and even MontanaBlack wanted to check out the survival game. Anyone who wants to join can apply in Rumathra’s Discord, but only groups are accepted, and players must be at least 16 years old.
What makes Rust so special
What kind of game is Rust? The hardcore survival game is developed by Facepunch Studios, the creators of Garry’s Mod. The game was released in early access on Steam in 2013 and heavily focuses on PvP.
Rust left early access in 2018 and has been receiving regular new content ever since. All servers are wiped once a month, and every player starts anew. This also gives newcomers a chance in Rust.
