Paragon (March 1, 2016 – April 26, 2018)
What was Paragon? Paragon was an unusual MOBA. Initially, it featured stunning, realistic graphics, and the action combat system was also a highlight. The battles were as fast-paced as in a shooter and took place in a wild science-fiction setting.
Why it failed: Paragon was radically altered multiple times by the developer Epic, which alienated many old fans without attracting significant new players. Additionally, the game was consistently too complex and not newcomer-friendly.
With each update, Paragon slid closer to the abyss, and Epic slowly realized that they were unable to salvage the game.

Additionally, it became clear that their other game, Fortnite, would become an absolute hit. Therefore, the developers of Paragon were reassigned to Fortnite. That marked the end of the game.
How long did the game last? Paragon lived only for almost two years when it was shut down on April 24, 2018.
This is what remains positively in memory: Paragon is sorely missed by its fans. The cool action gameplay and the previously best graphics for a MOBA were an absolute highlight for many. However, Epic was kind enough to make all assets from the game available for free to all interested parties. So theoretically, you could reboot the game.
On the next page, we continue with the first death of 2018.
