A player of Remnant 2 has found a way to reset your character’s attributes without consuming the necessary item.
What are attributes in Remnant 2? In Remnant 2, you can invest points into the various attributes of your character. There are a total of 32 different attributes into which you can put up to 85 attribute points.
The different attributes increase various stats of your character. Vitality increases your maximum health, expertise reduces the cooldown of your skills, and fitness increases your dodge distance.
It can therefore be very important to invest your 60 attribute points wisely in order to prepare your character as well as possible for your upcoming battles – the skirmishes in this Soulslike shooter can indeed be quite challenging.
Can you reset your attributes? Yes, you can reset your attributes with an item called “Orb of Undoing” and redistribute the points you have already invested.
The Orb of Undoing can be purchased / crafted from the merchant Wallace for 2,500 scrap metal and 3 Lumenite crystals (via fextralife.com).
Player finds way to reset attributes for free
The Reddit user “NonHeroJC” shared a video on Reddit a few days ago, showing how he successfully reset his attributes in Remnant 2 with the Orb of Undoing without consuming the item.
How does he reset his attributes for free? NonHeroJC first uses the Orb of Undoing as normal. Then, as he explains in a comment, he performs a dodge roll and spams the corresponding button on his controller.
You can see how it looks in the video on Reddit:
By performing the dodge roll, the player manages to cancel the animation in which the Orb of Undoing would normally be consumed.
The item remains in the inventory accordingly and can be used again later. Thus, the resetting of attributes was somewhat free of charge.
Is there anything to consider? Yes, the trick used by the Reddit user is an exploit that wasn’t intended by the game’s developers. It is quite possible that the trick will be patched and will no longer work in the future.
Moreover, when exploiting exploits, it must always be considered that it is up to the developers to take action against players who consciously made use of the exploit – even if no other players were harmed by the exploit.
What many developers also do not like to see is datamining, but the studio behind Remnant 2 has come up with a special surprise regarding this:
