Since launch, Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC has been struggling with technical issues. Rockstar has now commented on the problems again and is trying to fix them.
What is the problem with RDR2 on PC? Since the launch of the western on PC, many players have complained about the technical state of the game. For instance, the Rockstar Launcher had issues, and the game stutters significantly at times.
A patch was supposed to fix the problems recently. But it had no effect for many players, the problems persisted. Now, Rockstar has announced via Twitter that they have addressed the issues again.
This is how Rockstar wants to solve the problems
New update coming: Rockstar explains that they have identified the problems and will address them as quickly as possible. Among other things, combinations of certain Nvidia graphics drivers, GPUs, and specific CPUs seem to lead to the errors.
A new update is expected to be released today, which should provide fixes for stuttering as well as other issues. However, Rockstar noted that they will continue to work with Nvidia in the future to eliminate further stuttering problems. A separate update will follow for that – so don’t expect everything to suddenly work as desired.
Rockstar with apologies and bonuses: The developers apologize for the inconveniences since launch and hope that all players will soon be able to enjoy the story around hero Arthur in their full beauty.
As a “sign of gratitude,” every PC player who plays RDR2 this week up to the holidays will receive a “Care Package” for RDR Online. This includes items like the “Prieto Poncho” as well as bonuses like ammunition.
While Rockstar is troubleshooting, players continue to search for secrets in RDR2. And they are succeeding:
