Rockstar Games announced the Red Dead Online patch for February some time ago. Now there are new details about what the update changes in the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2.
When is the update coming? The patch is scheduled for February 26. It is part of the first title update. Red Dead Online is still in a testing phase.
What’s in the February update for Red Dead Online?
The update brings the first new weapons into the online world of RDR 2. New events, game modes, and races are also included. Clothing and emotes are part of it as well.
Gameplay Changes
New game mode: The free-roam event “Fool’s Gold” will be added. There you fight for the possession of a flashy gold armor. If you take out the player wearing the armor, you can wear it. Points are earned for kills while wearing the armor.
Competitive fishing mode: There will be challenges where you compete with others to fish. If you participate in the challenge, the game will automatically provide you with a rod and bait.
While you participate in the challenge at various points like lakes or swamps, you are safe from gun-toting opponents. The winner is the one who catches the highest total weight.

New showdown modes: In the new showdown modes, players or teams compete against each other. You will be tasked with picking up and delivering bags, stealing loot from each other, or simply surviving. The modes are called Up in Smoke, Spoils of War, and Plunder.
New horse races: Target races are a new type of horse race where riders must shoot at targets from horseback while riding to the finish line.
