In Red Dead Online, the multiplayer mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, players have once again found a new way to generate massive amounts of money using exploits. The new money glitch was discovered just hours after a fix was released that was supposed to address another exploit. Is RDO now facing the same fate as GTA Online?
What glitch are we talking about? Last weekend, there were some server stability issues in Red Dead Online. Players assumed it was related to a new glitch that generated money through the mass selling of fish. The problems were so severe that Rockstar recently released a fix to stop the glitch.
This apparently worked; however, players soon found a new exploit. After the fish glitch was stopped, cowboys are once again targeting the pumas with the latest exploit.
What are the exploits good for? With the exploits, players have found a way to generate a lot of money in a very short period of time. They earn more and faster cash, than they would through normal gameplay.
With the new puma glitch, players can sell infinite puma pelts and earn a large amount of money. This is not the first puma exploit: In March, a money glitch caused mountains of dead pumas in the towns.
What do the players say? Players are extensively discussing these glitches in the RDR2 subreddit. Some cowboys are upset about the exploits, while others don’t mind at all or openly admit to using money glitches.
Meanwhile, these glitches are hardly hidden anymore: Players openly provide guides on how the exploits work and can be triggered.
Will it be like in GTA Online? Red Dead Online is not the only Rockstar game struggling with glitches and exploits. Players also repeatedly exploit such errors in GTA Online.
In March, players earned huge amounts of money in GTA Online using an NPC. After that glitch was fixed, some players simply didn’t log out of the game anymore to continue racking up millions of in-game currency.
Last year, players made racing tracks springing from the ground for another money glitch.
