Bandit Hideouts – What You Need to Know, How to Find Them
You should note: Bandit hideouts spawn randomly, so it might be the case that no one is there at the moment. After clearing a hideout, it takes a while for the gangs to respawn.
You can bypass this fastest by switching servers. However, the hideouts do not always spawn in the exact same location. So, search the surrounding area to activate a hideout.
Get the treasure maps: Besides level-ups, bandit hideouts are the only way to find treasure maps. However, they are not a guaranteed part of the reward, you need a bit of luck.
The Bandit Hideout at Hanging Dog Ranch
At this location, you will find the hideout at Hanging Dog Ranch: The hideout is located at Hanging Dog Ranch in the western part of West Elizabeth.
The Bandit Hideout at Solomon’s Folly
At this location, you will find the hideout at Solomon’s Folly: Solomon’s Folly is located southwest of Tumbleweed near Benedict Point. You will find these locations in the southwestern part of New Austin.
The Bandit Hideout near Fort Mercer
At this location, you will find the hideout near Fort Mercer: The bandit hideout should be familiar to any fan of Red Dead Redemption 1. It is located at Fort Mercer, the very fort where the original story of John Marston began.
Fort Mercer is located in New Austin, southwest of Armadillo.
The Bandit Hideout at Clemens Point
At this location, you will find the hideout at Clemens Point: Clemens Point is located west of Rhodes on the shore of Flat Iron Lake in the Lemoyne region. The leader of the gang is in a boat that is floating nearby.
The Bandit Hideout near Twin Rocks
At this location, you will find the hideout near Twin Rocks: The Twin Rocks are located northeast of Armadillo in the Cholla Springs area. A hideout can spawn in the vicinity, so keep an eye out and orientate yourself by the two tall rocks on either side of the entrance.
The Bandit Hideout near Quaker Cove
At this location, you will find the hideout near Quaker Cove: Quaker Cove is located south of Blackwater in the Great Plains, on the shore of Flat Iron Lake. There you can find another bandit hideout.
The Bandit Hideout at Sea of Coronado
At this location, you will find the hideout at the Sea of Coronado: The Sea of Coronado is located in the westernmost corner of New Austin. From Tumbleweed, you need to head southwest; on the shore of the Sea of Coronado, you will find the hideout.
The Bandit Hideout at Rattlesnake Hollow
At this location, you will find the hideout at Rattlesnake Hollow: Rattlesnake Hollow is located northwest of Armadillo in the northern center of New Austin. There you should find another hideout.
The Bandit Hideout at Bacchus Station
At this location, you will find the hideout at Bacchus Station: The bandit hideout is located at Bacchus Station, in the northern part of the map named Ambarino. South of it lies the Cumberland Forest.
You can also orientate yourself by the sign on the map; the hideout is located south of the “I” in Ambarino.
The Bandit Hideout at Cumberland Falls
At this location, you will find the hideout at Cumberland Falls: At Cumberland Falls, you can find a bandit hideout. This location is in the northern part of the game world, west of Valentine.
The Bandit Hideout at Jorge’s Gap
At this location, you will find the hideout near Jorge’s Gap: Jorge’s Gap is located near Armadillo. Southwest of the town, a bandit hideout can appear.
The Bandit Hideout at Lakay
At this location, you will find the hideout at Lakay: Lakay is located in the swamp area northwest of Saint Denis. Stay near the shore, where the bandit hideout can spawn.
The Bandit Hideout at Colter
At this location, you will find the hideout near Colter: Colter is a location for another bandit hideout and is located in the northwestern part of Grizzlies West.
The Bandit Hideout at Ewing Basin
At this location, you will find the hideout near Ewing Basin: Another hideout can spawn at Ewing Basin. This location is west of Mount Hagen, north of the “G” in the lettering of “Grizzlies West.”
The Bandit Hideout at Mount Hagen
At this location, you will find the hideout at Mount Hagen: There is also a bandit hideout at Mount Hagen itself. Above the “E” in “Grizzlies,” you will find a small mine. Enter it and proceed into the inner part of the mountain.
The Bandit Hideout near The Loft
At this location, you will find the hideout near The Loft: The Loft is located directly northeast of the “O” letter in Ambarino, which can be read on the map.
The Bandit Hideout at Willard’s Rest
At this location, you will find the hideout at Willard’s Rest: The next bandit hideout is located at Willard’s Rest. This location is found in the northeastern part of the map.
