The streets of Saint Denis are terrible for riders
Why is Saint Denis unsuitable for riding? Because the city is so large, there are many people on the streets. Added to this are numerous intersections, carriage drivers, and streetcars that constantly pass through.
This configuration often leads to unavoidable accidents for cowboys trying to ride through. Player Chase6299 experienced such an incident:
Although the character Arthur survived the crash against a lamp post, his horse was “stolen” during this incident. He could only watch helplessly as the poor animal was taken away.
There is a chance to retrieve the horse, but only if you want to become criminal and then suddenly be chased by hundreds of police officers.
Is it intentionally that difficult?
Of course, in such a large city there is much more going on than in smaller villages. Yet sometimes it seems that the residents of Saint Denis do not appreciate it if you ride through their streets. This is quite strange, given that in Saint Denis you can buy the best horses.
Some even shout loudly to slow down when riding, even if you are not going very fast. Occasionally, residents may even throw themselves in front of a horse on purpose.
All of this leads to Arthur being the bad guy and even receiving a bounty, although he did nothing wrong. Then it becomes a race to get out of the city as quickly as possible before the entire police patrol starts chasing you.
Players have already found a mod that allows them to take revenge on police officers in RDR2. There, Arthur becomes a superhero who can fly and throw police officers through the air.
