The coop RPG Genshin Impact has introduced a collaboration with manufacturer Razer. In addition to a mouse pad and a mouse, Razer has also presented a gaming chair that MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotmann absolutely wants.
Razer has introduced a collaboration with Genshin Impact. Under the motto “Genshin Impact x Razer”, the two have presented hardware designed around the action RPG.
What is there at all? In total, Razer has presented three devices.
- Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro, a gaming mouse
- Razer Goliathus Medium, a gaming mouse pad
- Razer Iskur X, a gaming chair
It is particularly noticeable that Razer’s snake logo is not visible, but instead the logos and symbols of the action RPG Genshin Impact.
But it is not the gaming mouse or the mouse pad that capture my attention, but the gaming chair. Because it not only looks really cool, but could also fulfill my needs for an ergonomic chair at the workplace.
The design of Razer’s Genshin Impact chair looks really stylish
That’s why I want to buy the chair: On the one hand, there is currently hardly any game aside from Apex Legends that I play as extensively as Genshin Impact, and I log in at least for the dailies. The Moonlight Festival event also offers a quirky weapon and a nice story surrounding my favorite characters. A chair with the matching design would only underline my hobby.
On the other hand, I really like the blue-gold design with Paimon lettering and symbols! Gaming manufacturers preferably use black and subdued colors, and Razer’s Iskur series is usually no exception, but I simply like the design of Razer’s Genshin chair.
My current concern is just that I might not be the only user who has an eye on the gaming chair and that the limited edition could really sell out in a few moments or, in the worst case, may not get a European release.
Perhaps the chair is also a target for greedy scalpers, and I can only buy the chair on eBay for a lot of money in a few months. I would at least be used to it, as graphics cards are sold for thousands of euros on eBay. When it comes to money, scalpers are quite inventive as seen with graphics cards and consoles.
This irritates me a bit: Razer and Genshin Impact have come up with something else. For each product, there is an additional code with in-game rewards:
- With the gaming mouse, you get 200 Primogems and 80,000 Mora
- With the gaming mouse pad, you get 30 Primogems and 5 Adventure’s Books
- With the gaming chair, you receive 500 Primogems, 20 Hero’s Wisdom, and 100,000 Mora.
But let’s be honest: If I invest 500 euros in a gaming chair, then 500 Primogems and a few XP books and Mora seem a bit ridiculous. So you definitely don’t miss any skins or anything else if you don’t buy the hardware. I would have been happy about a skin, as those cost around 15 euros in the game.

The Iskur X is an ergonomic gaming chair for a bit more money
What is the Razer Iskur X? The Razer Iskur X is the official budget version of the Iskur, which Razer has had in its lineup for a while. The gaming chair is priced at 399 euros and is positioned in the higher price range.
The Razer Iskur X also manages to impress in most reviews. For instance, IGN writes in its long-term test that the chair is extremely comfortable and ergonomic (via IGN.com). Furthermore, it is well made. However, IGN criticizes that the chair is only conditionally suitable for very tall people.
The tester from Rockpapershotgun also praises the chair as ergonomic and comfortable (via rockpapershotgun.com). After a long-term test of three months, the tester explains that the chair is generally very comfortable for gaming and working. However, the plastic boxes for adjusting the chair’s height are somewhat stiff and feel low-quality.

It can be assumed that Razer will not change the gaming chair but will only adjust the design. Therefore, if the gaming chair in the Genshin design is released soon, it could at least find one buyer in me.
