Razer has introduced its new gaming laptops “Razer Blade” at CES 2021. The devices come with either an RTX 3060/3070 or 3080 and provide enough power for gaming or demanding applications. The fastest devices are primarily aimed at enthusiasts.

Razer continues to differentiate its gaming laptops between base and advanced models. The advanced models are equipped slightly better than the base models and offer more ports, a higher resolution screen, and a faster refresh rate.
Blade 15: Base and Advanced Model
Razer has introduced two different versions of the Razer Blade 15. There are both base and advanced models.
Both devices feature modern technology to run hardware-hungry games or applications. All presented Blade 15 laptops feature an RTX 3000 graphics card and a modern 10th generation Intel processor. Optionally, you also get 16 or 32 GB of RAM. With this performance, you don’t need to haul a desktop PC to the hospital when you want to game properly.
Important ports like USB 3 or Thunderbolt 3 are available on both base and advanced models. Thunderbolt 3 is particularly interesting because it can transfer large amounts of data (up to 40 Gigabits) over the connection. This allows you to connect external graphics cards or a 4K monitor via Thunderbolt.
Here’s the difference: For the base models, you can choose between a GeForce RTX 3060 and an RTX 3070 as the graphics card. For the advanced models, you can choose between RTX 3070 and RTX 3080.
Additionally, the advanced models focus on significantly faster displays: While the base model offers either 144 Hz Full HD or 165 Hz QHD displays, the advanced model allows you to get a 360 Hz Full HD display.
The ports of the advanced models are even more up-to-date than those of the base models. For example, you get Bluetooth 5.2 on the advanced models, and the USB-C ports also support power delivery. Furthermore, here you can optionally get a 4K display touchscreen.

What are the prices of the laptops? According to Razer, the prices of the gaming laptops start at 1,799.99 Euros.
When can you buy the devices? The devices can be pre-ordered exclusively at the Razer Store starting January 12. Selected retailers will follow on January 26 and will also offer the laptops.
Razer Blade Pro 17: High-end Devices for Enthusiasts
With the Blade Pro 17 gaming laptops, Razer primarily targets enthusiasts who need absolute high-end performance and are willing to pay for it.
The “Pro 17” series comes in three variants: Buyers can choose between
- a Full HD variant with a very fast 360Hz display
- a QHD variant with a 165Hz display
- or a UHD variant with a 120Hz display

What do the Full HD devices cost? The Pro series are the manufacturer’s most expensive devices. Depending on which graphics card you ultimately decide on, the prices vary. The Full HD devices cost:
