Today the GSA League in Rainbow Six: Siege begins its first round after the qualifiers. The eSports event will kick off with two prestigious teams in a promising match. Join us live on Twitch!
Who is playing? A total of eight eSports teams are competing for victory in the GSA League. Two of these teams are Team Secret and G2 Esports – with the current roster of Team Secret known to many fans as “OrgLess”:
- OrgLess won the German Nationals 2019, the GSA Clash of Nations 2020 (the predecessor of the GSA League), and finished second in the Challenger League Season 11 in Europe (via liquipedia)
- G2 Esports won the Six Invitational 2019, the DreamHack in Winter 2018, and finished second in the Pro League Season 11 in Europe (via liquipedia)
So in the first match of the GSA League, a former professional champion and a successful newcomer will face off. Team Secret signed OrgLess just before the start of the GSA League. This will be a match from which beginners and even veterans can surely learn a lot.
The first match starts at 7:00 PM German time on Thursday, May 14 (today). However, the pre-show with interesting analyses and discussions about eSports will start at 6:00 PM. Here you can find out more about the pre-show “The Weekly Breach”.
What are the teams competing for? The teams in the GSA League are competing for a total prize pool of €40,000, which is distributed in such a way that even eighth place will receive something.
