Why is this exciting? It is interesting that most of you seem to have made a decision regarding next-gen already. Although there are still many rumors and estimates concerning the consoles, only 6.66% of you wish to wait before deciding on an option.
Only a few of you are planning to buy both consoles. The main reason mentioned in the comments is the gaming PC. Since Microsoft has now released all Xbox games on PC as well, many of you PC owners see no reason to buy an Xbox console in addition.
I don’t want to miss out on the exclusives. However, there are none on the Xbox anymore, as everything released there is also playable on PC.

The PS5 leads, but the Xbox Series X shows an increase
With 53.94%, a large part of you tends towards purchasing the PS5, which hasn’t even been officially presented yet. A decisive reason for this lies in the PS4 and its lineup of strong exclusive titles, as our survey also indicates.
The results of the survey also show a shift in interests since the official announcement of the Xbox Series X.
Compared to our survey from August 19, 2019, the ratios have slightly tilted in favor of Microsoft’s new console. Back then, 24% of you voted for the new Xbox, and this number has risen to 29.81%. The PS5 had a greater lead with 58% of all votes, which has now decreased.

In the comments on our Facebook page, for example, fans of both consoles emphasized that they have been loyal to their companies for a very long time and will continue to be.

Even though the gap to other positions isn’t very large, exclusive titles were still the most important reason for you to purchase a new next-gen console.
Even in the current console generation, strong exclusive games have been a significant factor in the sales success of the PS4. In our survey, you clearly showed that exclusive games are an important reason for purchasing a next-gen console.
This is especially evident in your comments. Many of you cited exclusivity as one of the main reasons for buying a console. Names like God of War or Bloodborne were frequently mentioned as positive examples of exclusive games, with the hope that this trend will continue on the PS5.

Clearly the PlayStation 5. I have always liked the setup of the PS consoles. I also already have a collection of exclusive titles that may continue on the PS5 in the future.

3rd place: The power of the hardware

It is one of the main reasons for our transition to the next generation. The hardware is getting better, the games are becoming prettier, larger, and consume considerably more power. Sooner or later, you will have to make upgrades.
Accordingly, it is important for many of you to have a console that can properly display these new games and get the most out of them.
However, the gaming boxes are not only supposed to deliver beautiful and fast images but ideally, they should not sound like Frankfurt Airport. The noise of the hardware has also been mentioned by some of you in your comments:
