Which features are currently known?
- Both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X are said to be very fast. This is mainly due to the fast internal storage of the consoles.
- A released PS5 patent promises that users can start their game directly without loading times. You select the game in the console’s user interface (UI) and can play immediately.
- The same patent talks about “interactive interfaces”. The game and operating system of the PS5 are expected to be more tightly integrated to offer speed.
- In another patent, it is stated that the new PS5 controller can assess users’ feelings. Sony has not yet revealed how this will affect gaming.
What features could come?
- With the PlayStation, it was possible to stream content to other devices such as the PC, PS Vita, or Sony Blu-Ray players using PlayStation Now. This required a fast internet connection of at least 5 Mb/s.
