In a new Dev Diary, the developers of the upcoming MMORPG Project Genom discuss the current development of the game.
Currently, a new hero control system is being worked on, which is also shown in the video linked below. The movements appear much more natural and fluid, which should lead to a more pleasant control experience. Additionally, the character development system has been completely changed, just like the equipment, trading, skill, and stat systems. However, the interface is still not satisfactory and will continue to be worked on.
Things are progressing
To utilize skills even more effectively, new parameters such as “Armor Energy Output” and “Weapon Energy Consumption” have been introduced, which you need to pay attention to when assembling your hero. In addition, over a hundred new quests and interactive events have been developed, and a large portion of the existing quests have been revised. Basically, there are now four ways to complete tasks. To play through the four chapters of the story, you will now need around 40 hours.
Additionally, the starting area has been enlarged threefold, allowing new players to have an exciting experience right from the start. Currently, work continues on quad bikes, buggies, gliders, manipulators, wings, cover, mounts, and pets. In addition, the melee combat system, the construction of spaceships, and personal items are being worked on. A prototype of the resource extraction system, crafting, and item upgrades is also under development.

The MMORPG Project Genom is therefore taking on more concrete forms, even if the developers apologize to the backers for progressing somewhat slower than originally planned. The Early Access phase of the MMO is set to begin in May.
