Many users have not yet been able to get a PS5 and are still waiting for a chance to buy a PS5. Medimax and GameStop have now announced a new opportunity.
Meanwhile, the console has officially launched in the USA, and many Americans are already playing on their new console, the PlayStation 5.
In Germany, Sony’s next-gen console will launch on Thursday, November 19, 2020 – at least we have already tested the PS5. And many gamers are still waiting for their console or at least for the opportunity to finally order a console, also because the PS5 pre-order started far too early.
Sony has apologized after the first wave of pre-orders that sales could have gone better.
Now at least two retailers in Germany have announced that you will also be able to pre-order additional consoles from them at the launch of the PS5.
Buy PS5: Two retailers announce new pre-order
Medimax and GameStop have announced that with the launch of the PS5 on November 19, 2020, you will be able to pre-order PS5 consoles again. Medimax writes on Facebook:
We are pleased to announce that on November 19, the release day of the PlayStation 5, it will be possible to order additional PlayStation 5 online at www.medimax.de. No consoles will be available for sale in stores at release

The retailer GameStop also writes in a press release on Facebook that on November 19, you can reserve new consoles.
PS5 fans watch out! We are mega happy to announce to you today that starting November 19, you will be able to reserve more highly sought-after PlayStation 5 at www.gamestop.de. You will have them in your hands in the following weeks.

By the way, Amazon has now also announced that PS5 orders will be possible again at the EU launch in some countries: PS5: Amazon announces new supply for the EU launch – What about Germany?
What’s the catch with the pre-order? The problem remains that you do not know when you will receive your pre-ordered consoles. According to Medimax and GameStop, you can order, but no specific delivery date is given. At GameStop it says at least “in the following weeks”, which could also mean after Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas: Sony’s CEO Jim Ryan recently explained in an interview what the situation regarding additional deliveries of PS5 consoles around Christmas will look like. Ryan’s words at least strengthen the hope that there could be more consoles.
