Windows Phone fans of Pokémon GO are currently not having fun, as the third largest mobile operating system does not support the Pokémon app. However, a petition aims to change this. Everything might fail due to the technology.
Users of Windows Phones often have to forego popular apps that users of Android and Apple devices have been enjoying for a long time. The enormously popular augmented reality app Pokémon GO is also on the unfortunate list of programs that do not run on Windows 10 Mobile. This naturally annoys many Windows Phone fans, and therefore a petition on Change.org has been started to ensure a quick implementation of Pokémon GO on Windows Phone.

Last week, the petition only had modest 4,000 signatures, but now there are over 76,000 people who would like a Windows version of Pokémon GO. Meanwhile, Microsoft itself has taken notice and responded to the petition. The statement: They are very interested in having Pokémon GO also appear for Windows 10 Mobile and are currently examining the possibilities, for example, a corresponding payment from Microsoft to the Pokémon developer company Niantic, to soon get a Windows Phone version of Pokémon GO.
The developers are willing, but the processor is weak
Whether this works out is still completely unclear. There are still numerous technical problems, as especially the less powerful Windows Phones should hardly be able to handle the Pokémon app. Additionally, there is still a significant compatibility issue with Intel processors, as Pokémon GO simply does not support these chips. Unfortunately, this processor manufacturer is supposed to be used in all upcoming Windows Phones…
