The new Pokémon GO update 0.109.2 is here and available for download. The update mainly brings bug fixes and addresses issues. Many trainers will be pleased with the GO-Plus fix, but it does not apply to everyone.
What was the issue with GO-Plus? We reported that trainers experienced connection issues with their GO-Plus with the last update 0.109.1. The update caused the gadget to no longer connect to the smartphone and only displayed an error message.
What was improved with update 0.109.2?
- Pokémon GO-Plus: The connection issue has been resolved, and trainers should now be able to reconnect their GO-Plus gadget with their Android device.
- Loading times of the friends list: If trainers scrolled to the end of their friends list, they experienced unusually long wait times before moving to the next page of the list. Although the loading times are still somewhat longer, they have noticeably improved.
Some trainers still report GO-Plus issues
The GO-Plus fix does not apply to all trainers: Reports on Reddit have surfaced indicating that some Android users still experience connection errors. For most, the issue seems to have been resolved. However, there are still complaints that the connection cannot be established at all or only after multiple attempts. It definitely does not seem to be running smoothly yet.
Other issues: Some fixes are still pending with 0.109.2. It seems that for some trainers, the screen related to research rewards is still freezing. Additionally, the GO-Plus indicator still disappears for some trainers when they target a Pokémon drawn in by smoke.
How is it going for you? Has your GO-Plus issue been resolved with the update?
