In Pokémon GO the Rocket takeover event started in November 2022. This brings other cryptos to the leaders. Trainers confirm that you can receive your shiny crypto Flunkifer, shiny crypto Machollo, and shiny crypto Zobiris.
Why are there other crypto shinies? Regularly, the Pokémon teams that Team GO Rocket members fight with change. If you defeat team members, you then have the chance to catch one of their cryptos after the battle.
Since November 14, the Rocket takeover has been running, bringing some changes. Trainers confirm that the cryptos are also available again as shinies and that the event is going as planned. Here we show you the shiny cryptos that you can catch with Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff.
Shiny Crypto Flunkifer
Where can you find it? After defeating Arlo, you will be rewarded with crypto Flunkifer. With a bit of luck, you can find and catch shiny crypto Flunkifer. Use our counter guide against Arlo to win the fight easily.
What does it look like? In the following screenshot, you can see the shiny form of a crypto Flunkifer.
Shiny Crypto Machollo
Where can you find it? If you successfully fight against the Rocket leader Cliff, you will be rewarded with a crypto Machollo encounter after the battle. Here too, there is a chance that you will encounter the crypto as shiny. Our counter guide against Cliff shows you how to win the match easily.
What does it look like? In the following image, you can see the shiny form of a crypto Machollo:
Shiny Crypto Zobiris
Where can you find it? For successfully defeating the Rocket leader Sierra, you will receive an encounter with crypto Zobiris. Our counter guide against Sierra shows which Pokémon she uses and how to defeat them.
What does it look like? Lucky trainers have already caught shiny crypto Zobiris after the start of the Rocket takeover. In the following screenshot, you can see what they look like:
Now you have the chance to find and catch these crypto shinies again. The trainers’ screenshots were important to provide “official” confirmation for these catches.
In previous events, shinies were sometimes not available right at the start and trainers wasted their encounters.
