In Pokémon GO you can follow routes for rewards, but many trainers are searching for them in vain. Now more could be added.
What is this feature? The routes recently appeared in Pokémon GO and represent a kind of fixed walk that you should follow.
Players set a route from PokéStop to PokéStop. If you choose this and walk it, you will receive rewards such as items, as well as Pokémon encounters.
One of the main aspects of the routes is the legendary Pokémon Zygarde. You can obtain it through the research A to Zygarde
, but catching it is not the end.
To get the stronger forms of Zygarde, you need Zygarde cells. And you get those by walking the routes.
The problem is that if there are no routes nearby. Trainers are constantly complaining that they cannot find any nearby and cannot create any. But that could change now.
More players can now create routes in Pokémon GO
This is changing now: As players noted in the Pokémon GO subreddit, trainers can now create routes starting at level 48. This makes it possible for more players to submit routes.
This gives hope that the feature will become more present in the game in the near future, and that more routes can be found that were previously missing.
It remains to be seen how quickly the rollout of the feature will progress now. Some players in the comments note that they have been in a group of players who can create routes for a while, even if they are not yet level 48.
It is clear that even if level 48 players can now create routes, it would probably be helpful in terms of distribution if more players at lower levels could also create routes.
However, players also note in the comments that creating a route does not automatically mean it lands directly in the game. Routes are first evaluated by Niantic before they can appear in the game – and some players have routes still stuck in review (via reddit).
Overall, it seems that the feature is now being made more widely accessible. This gives hope that soon there will be more opportunities to collect cells for Zygarde.
How is the feature working for you? Can you already create routes? And how many routes are there in your area? Let us know in the comments!
