In Pokémon GO, a huge Community Day takes place in December, which will also feature Feelinara with a special move as the highlight. However, there is a problem with the move if you don’t prepare in advance.
What is the issue? The Community Day in December 2021 for Pokémon GO was recently announced by Niantic. All Pokémon from the C-Day events of 2021 and 2020 will play a role. Among other things, you can teach the Pokémon the moves that were exclusively intended for their C-Days.
However, evolving to Feelinara will not be as easy as last time. Trainers have found this out and discuss that you should start preparing now if you want to evolve strong Feelinara with Psychic Shock.
70 Hearts for Feelinara – Start now
What is the problem? On Twitter, the account GOStadiumPvP writes an information to all Pokémon GO players. “Feelinara will not have reduced buddy heart requirements. We recommend that you start working on this now.” This is an official information that the account received directly from Niantic.
The message conveys that you need to earn 70 hearts with Eevee as your buddy to evolve Eevee into Feelinara. However, this is impossible in one day.
During the Community Day with Eevee in August, Niantic solved the problem by reducing the requirement from 70 hearts to 7 hearts. This allowed all trainers to catch strong Eevee during the Community Day and then evolve them to Feelinara during the event, so that the Pokémon learns Psychic Shock.
In summary:
- In December 2021, Eevee will appear as an event Pokémon on the second day (Sunday, December 19)
- You need to evolve Eevee by Monday (December 20) for Feelinara to learn the charged move Psychic Shock
- It is impossible to earn 70 hearts with an Eevee by Monday if you caught it on Sunday
- Therefore, you should already choose strong Eevee as buddy Pokémon and earn hearts with them so that you have enough of them with 70 hearts by December 20

What trainers are saying: In the community on reddit, Niantic’s decision not to reduce the heart requirement is a big topic. Players find it “stupid,” but also explain that there is still enough time to earn the hearts.
“Partially, it goes against the point of allowing us to develop Psychic Shock if the heart requirement is not changed,” writes Nesabethan on reddit.
“24 hearts and a few more through buddy gifts is the maximum we can earn per day. Eevee will appear on Sunday and the availability for the move ends on Monday. We need 70 hearts, so it is impossible to get Psychic Shock with the Eevee we catch during the event. And this is the first Eevee event since the last Community Day. So, most of the Eevee captures that we haven’t taught the move to will come from the event. It would be the first Community Day event where they give us the move, but we can’t teach it to the Pokémon we caught that day.”
Scirsin explains how you can prepare your Eevee now: “[…] If you want to be straightforward, just feed it [the Eevee] three times a day and take an AR screenshot once instead of a quick snack. If you start from 0, you only need 17.5 days for that.”
