In Pokémon GO movement is part of the game principle. Those who walk a lot encounter many different pocket monsters along the way, and they can also receive rewards like balls or hatch Pokémon eggs. A “Pokémon GO” trainer recently impressed on Reddit with a screenshot showing how many kilometers he walked during working hours.
A Pokémon trainer named “Chandler107” showed in a post on Reddit that he walked an impressive 102.3 kilometers within a week and took over 150,000 steps. Chandler107 claims to work in a warehouse – a stressful job where employees walk a lot.
To achieve the impressive weekly result, he only needed four workdays and the activated feature Adventure Sync, which allows you to collect rewards and hatch eggs without actively holding your smartphone in hand.
Trainer collects rewards while working
What advantage does the trainer have? Chandler107 collected the weekly rewards for walking 5, 25, and 40 kilometers during working hours.
When asked about the rewards for his impressive performance, the trainer replied: “I probably got a few balls,” and added, “Also, two eggs. One was a fantastic five-kilometer egg.”
With this, Chandler107 has a significant advantage over players who have to find time in their leisure activities to walk such distances and can collect rewards without having to restructure his day.
When asked how many Riolu eggs the trainer had already hatched, Chandler said: “A whole bunch,” while transferring duplicates.
A few days ago, Pokémon GO introduced a new feature with routes, where you can select a PokéStop or gym as a starting point and record a route that you later walk for other trainers.
A recorded route is supposed to help other trainers find nice paths for a walk – but some players are currently still dissatisfied with the feature.
