In Pokémon GO there are monsters that you seldom get to see. A trainer has made a very special catch. Which one it is and why it came at just the right moment, we have summarized for you here on MeinMMO.
Which Pokémon is it about? A number of monsters in Pokémon GO are relatively rare, making them hard to find outside of specific events in the game. Thus, it is even more special if one can get a strong or shiny specimen.
And that’s exactly what a trainer has managed to do – at the absolutely right moment, he snagged a special Milza. Why this catch is so special and what the community thinks about it will be explained below.
Trainer secures a very special Shundo
What is so special about the catch? As Reddit user Tickluh shows in his post, he encountered a Milza in the wild. The small dragon Pokémon from the 5th generation of games is one of the monsters that usually only show up rarely and are thus hard to catch.
Here we explain how you can also get a Milza.
But for Tickluh, it is not just an ordinary encounter with the little monster; as you can see from his picture, he has indeed had a huge stroke of luck in several ways.
He secured a Shundo, which is a shiny specimen with an IV of 100%. In addition, the caught specimen is also particularly small, which helps him with the progress of his medal “Collector of Tiny Pokémon.” This alone is a good reason for most trainers to be happy about the catch.
For Tickluh, the catch represents another special feature, as he explains in the post, it is also the first Shundo he has ever caught. He writes (via reddit.com): “I have been playing since 2016 and today I got my first Shundo. It spawned right in front of my house. I’m happy!”
And then it was also caught at just the right moment.
Why was the moment so good: In Pokémon GO, the next community day will take place on June 10. During this event, Milza will be the center of attention. This gives the trainer the perfect opportunity to gather the necessary candies and XL candies and level up his special Milza. Moreover, he can then secure the special attack for Maxax.
On community day, Milza is felt to be everywhere in the wild, and its shiny rate is correspondingly increased. Consequently, many trainers have the chance to secure a shiny and/or strong specimen.
Thanks to the increased spawn and shiny rates, it is significantly easier to encounter a Shundo. Therefore, such catches that occur outside of community days are significantly more sought after and are considered more valuable by trainers. This is also the case for Tickluh, who writes in his post (via reddit.com): “My first Shundo. Right in time for community day!”
Trainers celebrate catch: “You are a real lucky duck”
And the community is also thrilled with this catch. Many can hardly believe that one can have so much luck with a random wild spawn. Especially the timing, just in time before the community day with Milza, is celebrated by several players. Here are some comments (via reddit.com):
- Thisismyusername4455: “This is absolutely crazy. A perfect shiny XXS Milza before the community day is a huge achievement. Congratulations, my friend. Save some luck for the rest of us.”
- OrgasmicMarvelTheme: “You won the community day before it even started.”
- dmank007: “A Milza?!?! You are a real lucky duck, congratulations!”
Additionally, some Reddit users advise him to evolve his caught Milza into Maxax during the community day so that he can secure the event charge attack Broadside, which gives the dragon a better moveset. This way, he can score big in raids. Together with its high attack value, Maxax is among the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
