What is Winter Wonderland? This is a mini-event that is active in Pokémon GO over the holidays. Winter Wonderland is also part of the Christmas event Winter Holidays Part 2.
When does the mini-event run? The mini-event “Winter Wonderland” starts on Saturday, December 24 at 10:00 AM and runs until Sunday, December 25 at 8:00 PM. There will be two bonuses and a collector’s challenge.
Bonuses of the mini-event: While the Winter Wonderland event is active, there will be two bonuses in Pokémon GO:
- One additional special trade per day
- Daily adventure incense lasts for 30 minutes during the event
Collector’s Challenge: During the event, there is the collector’s challenge “Winter Wonderland”. If you successfully complete the challenge by December 25 (Sunday) at 8:00 PM, you will receive XP and incense and may encounter a Galarian Mr. Mime.
Change in Lucky Trade? Just in time for the Winter Wonderland event, Niantic increases the number of lucky Pokémon you can guarantee to receive when trading from 10 to 15.
In addition, you will now receive a lucky Pokémon guaranteed until you reach the 15 Pokémon limit if you trade a Pokémon that has been in a trainer’s Pokémon box since 2017.
Raid Day with Hisui-Arctibax
When does the Raid Day run? The Raid Day with Hisui-Arctibax takes place on Saturday, December 24. It starts at 2:00 PM and is available until 5:00 PM.
What does the Raid Day bring? On the Raid Day, Hisui-Arctibax is available in level 3 raid battles. You may also encounter a shiny Hisui-Arctibax, which has an increased spawn chance during the raid day.
Additionally, you will receive up to five additional raid passes for free when you spin the photo discs of gyms.
What will happen in the coming weeks in Pokémon GO? Hosting a Raid Day and a mini-event on December 24 may not suit every trainer, and some trainers are probably already looking at the events of the coming month.
