Today, on December 9, the next raid hour with Kyurem starts in Pokémon GO. Here you will find the best attackers against the legendary monster and all the info.
This is a raid hour: The raid hour takes place regularly once a week, always on Wednesdays. Anyone can participate – all you need are raid passes. Or remote raid passes if you play from home.
Within an hour, you will find legendary raids at almost every gym. The 5-star raids will currently still feature Kyurem, as well as the entire month of December. You will find this monster at nearly every gym during the event. The perfect chance to catch the ice dragon.
Raid hour on December 9 – Who should participate?
When does it start? As usual, the raid hour starts at 6:00 PM local time. The raid eggs will appear on the gyms beforehand and will hatch right on time for the start. By 7:00 PM, everything will be over and you will find the normal spawns again.
How many trainers are needed? In fact, you can defeat Kyurem with just two players if you are at least level 40 and use strong counters. If you are still on the way to level 40 or do not have the right monsters and moves, you will need more trainers.
Who should participate? Primarily, the raid hour is worthwhile for players who do not have a Kyurem in their collection yet. But the raid hour is also worth it if you are leveling up.
Legendary raids give you a total of 10,000 XP, even 20,000 XP with a lucky egg. Since Kyurem can be defeated with just a few players, you can quickly gather XP here. Through remote raids, you have the opportunity to play together without going outside. This is also a good way to increase friendship levels – which in turn also brings XP. During raid hours, you also have a good chance to join random trainer groups via remote raids and complete several raids.
Players who are currently between level 40 and 50 can also take advantage of the raid hour well. For example, you need:
- 30 raids for level 41
- 20 power-ups for legendary Pokémon – Kyurem can bring you the necessary candies (also level 41)
- For level 43, you need to catch 5 legendary Pokémon
- At level 47, you need 30 raids, which you must complete with a team of the same species – here you could use a team of top counters if you are already that far.
Will I get Shiny Kyurem here? Unfortunately not, Shiny Kyurem is not yet in the game. Therefore, you can only catch the normal variant of Kyurem here. The black and white versions of the monster are also still missing.
